Aberich. The Land of the Blessed
There were once eight unlikely heroes that ascended to the heavens and became gods themselves. Muse Goddess of Inspiration, Aurum God of the Sea, Tera Goddess of Nature, Lucient God of Magic, Navea Goddess of Chaos, Kraten God of War, Vestige Goddess of Shadow and Azathal God of Life. Carving out a land of their own and raising it from below the sea. Thus Aberich was born, each god and goddess creating their own section of land molded after their own interests. People came rather quickly onto their lands and settled into the vast riches Aberich had to offer. The people came to know the gods when they bore their first child in Aberich and found that child born with A Mark, a symbol of the local gods. As the children grew, the mark would also grow. Growing after times of great achievement, a large mark was a sign of a true warrior or adventurer. The Gods became the gods of these people and the land was deemed blessed. Thus all who were born in Aberich were part of the Blessed.
The stories on how Aberich came to be are always modeled after this original story but one thing remains to be true, only the people of Aberich are born with A Mark upon their face and its always one of eight different symbols that represent the different deities in the continent. Located on the flat World of Relica , and surrounded by the Valrun Ocean-Aberich is divided into regions, each one drastically different to its neighbors, not only in the way the people rule the land, but also in the lands shape itself. Each region was designed by the controlling god and created in their image.
